Applications Veterinary antibiotic. It is a diterpenic veterinary drug widely used in swine for the control of infectious diseases, including swine dysentery and enzootic pneumonia.
Re-entry period Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 7 days after the latest treatment with this medicated feed.
Caution Swine being medicated with tiamulin should not have access to or be treated with tiamulin incompatible polyether ionophores (e.g.: monensin, salinomycin, narasin).
Recommended dosages
For swine dysentery 3.5mg itamulin per pound b.w. daily for 5 consecutive days
For swine pneumonia 10.5mg tiamulin per pound b.w. daily for 5 consecutive days
